New Pecs page up! The rest of our stay in this lovely little city in southern Hungary.As I write this my mind teleports back to the wine and cultural dancing in the main square.But onward we must go.Next stop budapest! also dont mind the color im experimenting.

I was looking through pictures on my computer and there was the New Orleans band trip! i figured i could get that trip up on the blog for everyone to read about with hardly any effort.I underestimate this blogging world.I end up reading others blogs and posts and tweets and many hours later whew! I have the New orleans trip from this year up !

This year when we went to Europe we were concerned about being away from our home.In the past the family or the vet has taken care of our two King Charles spaniels.Our sons were home a lot more back then so they could handle our cats.This time seemed too long to board the dogs and the boys have lives of their own with work and school. So I wasn't sure of the quality of care for the cats.Being gone for a long period we were also concerned about our home, the plants, the mail. Our sons etc..
I started looking and found a site called Housecarers.I posted an ad went through many replies.Believe me I was very skeptical about getting anyone.Especially one from far away.I happened upon a lady that was a local.She had excellent references I checked them all.There was a faculty member that was listed at the university that was one of the places she had house sat for many times A few meetings with her and the dogs and a home visit and we were off on our vacation. .It is an exchange situation.We gave a nice home for her to stay in and she took very good care of things..We left some money for groceries.Then off to Hungary and Austria we went.
We are hoping to travel for longer periods of time in the future.I saw an article about house swapping and would like to look into it more.There are many places we would like to return to and explore more of.Also countries in Europe that we would like to 
spend extended time in.

Finally after deleting my page and many rewrites and posting problems I have one of the Pecs pages up! Come and read about our wonderful time in Southern Hungary.Pictures to come in the next few days and more Pecs!This is a surprising city with a lot of history and wine and culture.We loved it!
